About the Association

In the Woods Association was founded in the summer of 2018 by ten people, friends and family members. The fundamental goal of this not-for-profit civil association is to create and maintain a community which aims to realize an ecologically conscious, self-sustaining, and independent (of the utility infrastructure) lifestyle. We aim our community services to be broadly available. Our secondary goal is educational: we would like to show the alternative of living in nature, with the nature, independently but not in isolation for kids and young adults.

Activities of the Association:

• creating and maintaining community living and community services
• fostering the ecologically conscious, self-sustaining, and utility-infrastructure-free lifestyle via the organization of the required knowledges we acquire collectively
• permaculture agriculture
• promoting the lifestyle as well as the experiences of the collective/community for a broad audience
• presenting informative documentations and educational materials
• youth education via summer camps
• organizing workshop discussions, forums for knowledge-exchange, and exhibitions
• cultural and sport programs
• providing community services
• manufacturing artisan products from own-grown materials
• aiming to help our fellow humans living with disabilities by providing living, recreational, and work opportunities
• co-operation with organizations and communities with similar agenda
